With a 634-meter height, Tokyo Skytree is the highest broadcasting tower in the world. Inaugurated in May 2012, it was designed by the architect Tadao Ando so that it will be able to withstand earthquakes and typhoons. On the ground, it offers a large shopping mall – Tokyo Solamachi – with many shops, restaurants, a planetarium and an aquarium. Moreover, this tower includes two observation platforms at 350 and 450-meter heights from the ground, from which you can see Tokyo with a 360° vision and the whole plain of Kanto.
