Mount Hakodate

Going on the top of Mount Hakodate allows you to take a little bit more height and to look at the city of the same name. Spreading along a strip of land, this urban landscape surrounded by the sea is one of the most famous night panoramas in Japan. You can access the mount’s top by cable car. The top includes souvenir shops, a café and a cafeteria.

From Hakodate Station

⇒ Walk to the east until Hakodate-ekimae station (tramway), then take whether tramway line 2 or 5 until Jujigai station (3rd stop). Finally, walk 600 meters to the south-west to take the cable car and reach the Mount Hakodate’s top.
