Kenrokuen Garden

The Kenrokuen Garden is one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, together with Korakuen in Okayama and Kairakuen in Mito. Created by the Maeda family at the beggining of Edo ere, it is located right next to Kanazawa’s castle and spreads over more than 11 acres. This wonder made by ancient Japanese know-how with nature can be admired everytime, with its plum trees, its cherry trees, its irises, its azaleas, its pavilions, its pond and its fountain – the ancientest one in Japan – which has a natural pressure system for its water.
