Mount Moiwa
Mount Moiwa is a small wooded mountain at the south of Sapporo. From its peak, you will have a wonderful all-round view of the whole city and its surroundings. Reachable by cable car or by foot via mountain trails (for people who are familiar with hiking), this place also offers a planetarium, a restaurant and a ski station open in winter on the south side.
Access
From Sapporo station
⇒ Take the Namboku Line (metro) from Sapporo stop (which is next to Sapporo station) until Susukino station (2nd stop), then take the tramway until Ropeway iriguchi staion (13th stop). Finally, walk approximately 500 meters until reaching the cable car departure.
