Kyoto Aquarium

Kyoto

The Kyoto Aquarium owns almost 15.000 fishes and more than 250 different species. Even though it is not a coastal city, Kyoto is linked to the aquatic world with its sources and its rivers. On the site, there is even a reproduction of the watercourses’ ecosystems found in the region, with not only famous koi carps but also Japan’s biggest salamander. As a whole, the aquarium owns many other sea animals from the seas of the whole world.
